Ajinkya Deo, who was last seen in 120 Bahadur, is brimming with excitement as he continues filming Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana. The actor, currently on a packed shooting schedule, opened up about his experience on set—particularly his impactful moments with Kannada superstar Yash.

Yash, who takes on the role of Raavan in Tiwari’s ambitious retelling of the epic, left a lasting impression on Deo. Reflecting on their scenes together, Deo shared that working with Yash has been one of the most memorable aspects of the project. “I had the opportunity to work with Yash, and what an actor he is,” Deo said in an exclusive conversation with India Today. “Everyone knows he’s playing Raavan, and his look has already created a buzz. The flavour he has brought to the character is incredible. Although Deo refrained from revealing too many plot details, his admiration for Yash was unmistakable. For Deo, being part of Tiwari’s grand vision is nothing short of an honour. He described Ramayana as a film that promises scale, innovation, and standout performances. “I feel truly blessed to be associated with this project,” he said.

The film features a stellar ensemble: Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ajinkya Deo as Vishwamitra, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Tiwari’s retelling is planned as a two-part saga, with the first instalment set for a Diwali 2026 release, followed by the second chapter in 2027.
