Bollywood star Bobby Deol has officially come on board Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action-romance film, which features Ahaan Panday in the lead and Sharvari Wagh as the female protagonist. The much-anticipated project, produced under Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, is expected to begin filming in the first quarter of 2026.
According to a report by Mid-Day, Bobby Deol’s character will be far from a conventional villain. A source close to the production revealed, “It wouldn’t be right to tag him as an antagonist. His character wields authority, and as the story progresses, multiple dimensions of his personality will unfold. There are shades of grey that define his relationship with the hero.”
Both Ali Abbas Zafar and Aditya Chopra were reportedly determined to give Bobby a distinct and impactful role that breaks away from his previous menacing avatars. Zafar has written a complex, larger-than-life character specifically tailored for Bobby, balancing power, emotion, and intensity.
