Ahan recalled how Tadap released during the pandemic, at a time when the film industry itself was battling uncertainty. With theatres operating at only 50% capacity—and later dropping to 25% due to rising COVID cases—the film never got a traditional theatrical run.
He shared that the lockdown deeply impacted him beyond box office concerns.
“I lost many people in my life during that time, not just to circumstances but also because I couldn’t stay connected. That period taught me who truly stands by you—both in your highs and your lows. With theatres closed and films failing, a lot of self-doubt crept in. It was a phase full of personal and professional lessons.”
