According to a report by Mid Day, Deepika Padukone has emerged as the leading choice to star opposite Vicky Kaushal in Amar Kaushik’s ambitious mythological drama Mahavatar. The film is said to revolve around the journey of Lord Parashurama, known as a fierce warrior and the destroyer of evil.
A source close to the project revealed,
“The team has been searching for an actress capable of bringing emotional strength and depth to the role written opposite Parashurama. Deepika fits that profile exceptionally well. Conversations have begun, though they are still at an early stage. She is currently among the top names being considered.”
The female lead in Mahavatar is expected to have a substantial and impactful arc.
