The renewed threats reportedly stem from US-based Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who had earlier targeted the singer. Despite the intimidation attempts, Diljit has maintained his composure. The controversy began after Diljit’s recent appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, where he was seen touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet as a mark of respect. Pannun, through his banned outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), released a video accusing the actor-singer of “insulting victims of the 1984 Sikh genocide” by showing reverence to Bachchan, whom they accused of “inciting mobs” during the riots.
