In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, the Laila Majnu actress reflected on her highs, lows, and the overwhelming moment when she felt like walking out of the reality show altogether—right after being reprimanded by host Salman Khan.

She shared:
“Pehle toh mujhe samajh nahi aaya ki yeh dictionary bani kyun. But that weekend it was my mistake. I was extremely angry and saying anything to anyone. Unfortunately, he asked me to read it and I literally did. I was reading it and laughing.”
Farrhana admitted that, in hindsight, she should not have lost control of her language. However, she pointed out that she often felt singled out:
“Ghar mein dus log ek hi word bolte the, par kabhi pick nahi hota tha. But the moment I used it, weekend pe ek aag lag jaati thi. Ek aur dictionary nikal aati thi.”

The actress also revealed the exact incident that made her contemplate quitting the show.
“It was the 11th week and I was really happy, thinking I won’t be scolded that day. But the second dictionary came out. I was traumatized. That was the moment I felt like—bas, ab nahi karna. I wanted to leave the house. It was too much for me.”
Farrhana Addresses Her Bond With Baseer Ali
Farrhana also discussed the frequently talked-about equation she shared with fellow contestant Baseer Ali.
She clarified that a “love angle” was never her strategy:
“I am not someone who uses love stories to survive in the house. Making someone your weakness is not a strength for me.”

“I thought I was the winner. Looking at my journey, the audience’s reaction, everything… I was confident. But I had prepared myself to handle it gracefully if I lost.”

“I kept smiling. I didn’t want to look like I lost, but I was feeling terrible. My mind had gone blank. Then I saw Baseer, Shehbaz, Awez, and Nagma coming to hug me. That support was much needed at that time.”
