Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma has finally addressed the repeated firing incidents that took place outside his café in Surrey, Canada. Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 on Wednesday, he revealed how the attacks unexpectedly pushed authorities into action and even brought more attention to his business.

Three Firing Incidents in Three Months

Kapil’s café, Kap’s Café, located in Surrey, British Columbia, opened in July and soon became the target of three separate shooting attempts — on July 10, August 7, and October 16. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. – Kapil Sharma Breaks Silence on Canada Cafe Firings

Kapil: “Our Case Reached the Federal Government”

Reflecting on the unusual situation, Kapil said the series of firings exposed limitations in local policing and compelled higher authorities to intervene.

He shared:

“I feel the local rules and police may not have enough power to tackle such incidents. But when our case happened, it reached the federal government and was even discussed in the Canadian Parliament.”

“Every Firing Increased Our Footfall”

Surprisingly, Kapil revealed that the incidents did not scare away customers. Instead, the café ended up receiving more attention and more visitors than before.

“After every firing, our opening got bigger. So if God is with you, everything turns out fine,” he joked.

Support Poured In From Canada

Kapil added that he received numerous calls from concerned locals and well-wishers. Many told him that crime had been rising in the area but his case brought the issue into national spotlight.

“People called and said many things were happening earlier, but after the firing at my café, it became big news. Now steps are being taken to improve law and order.”

“Mumbai Has Always Felt Safe”

Despite the attacks abroad, Kapil emphasized that he has always felt completely safe in India.

“I never felt unsafe in Mumbai or anywhere in our country. There’s no city like Mumbai,” he said.

With Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 gearing up for release, Kapil seems unfazed by the turbulence abroad — focusing instead on his work, his audience, and his unwavering belief in divine protection.
