Kapil Sharma Cafe attacked again
In a troubling repeat incident, Kap’s Cafe — a Surrey-based establishment owned by comedian Kapil Sharma — has once again become the target of gunfire, marking the second shooting at the venue in under a month. The latest attack has amplified local fears surrounding rising violence and ongoing extortion threats, as reported by regional news outlets.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning when unknown assailants fired at least six rounds into the cafe, situated near the intersection of 85 Avenue and Scott Road. The shots shattered windows and caused visible structural damage. Surrey Police quickly arrived at the scene and have since launched an investigation. However, no clear motive has been confirmed as of now. – Kapil Sharma Cafe attacked again
Disturbed by the commotion, nearby residents described being jolted awake by the sounds of gunshots. Speaking to CityNews 1130, local resident Bob Singh recounted, “I saw it happen from my patio. I heard five or six loud bangs, then the police showed up shortly after.”
Michelle Gaucher, another witness living nearby, offered a similar account. “At 4:35 a.m., we were startled by what sounded like eight gunshots — it was unmistakably gunfire, not fireworks,” she stated. “I got up with the dogs, heard sirens blaring, and later saw a block around the cafe sealed off with emergency vehicles on site.”
This incident mirrors the first shooting that took place in early July, mere days after the cafe officially opened for business. In that earlier event, shots were fired into the premises while staff were present inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either case. So far, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the motives behind both attacks remain undetermined.
