Actress Keerthy Suresh, who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Revolver Rita, recently opened up about an unexpected struggle she faced after the phenomenal success of her 2018 blockbuster Mahanati. Despite winning the National Award for her portrayal of the legendary actress Savitri, the period immediately following the film wasn’t as smooth as many assumed.
Keerthy Reveals a Difficult Phase Post-Mahanati
Speaking at a promotional event, Keerthy shared that she didn’t receive a single film offer for almost half a year after Mahanati hit the screens.
She recalled, “You won’t believe it—after the release of Mahanati, I didn’t get a movie offer for six months. No one even came to narrate a script. But I never felt low because I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong. I looked at it positively and felt filmmakers were taking time to craft something special for me. I used that break to work on my makeover.”
