Actress Ami Joshi, best remembered for her work in popular shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is all set to add a new chapter to her television journey. The actress has joined the ensemble cast of Zee TV’s upcoming family drama Lakshmi Niwas, produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms.
Lakshmi Niwas revolves around the heartfelt aspirations of an elderly couple, portrayed by Rajendra Chawla and Mansi Joshi Roy. Their simple yet profound dream is to build a home of their own and see their daughters settled into dignified, loving families. The show features Akshita Mudgal and Raghav Tiwari as the lead pair, while Gashmeer Mahajani will be seen in a key cameo role. The much-awaited drama is scheduled to premiere on 12 January.
Earlier, reports had confirmed the addition of Kinshuk Vaidya and Gurdeep Kohli to the cast. Alongside them, actors such as Mansi Srivastava, Hemant Thatte, Kajal Pisal, Sulakshana Khatri, Utsav Singh, Adish Vaidya, Sanjivv Jotangia, Rao Ranvijay, Dolly Mattoo and Athar Siddiqui will be seen in important roles.
As per the latest buzz, Ami Joshi will essay a pivotal character and will be paired opposite Athar Siddiqui as his on-screen wife. Their characters will belong to a newly introduced family in the storyline, with Gashmeer Mahajani heading this household, adding another layer of intrigue to the plot.
With a strong cast and a rooted family-driven storyline, Lakshmi Niwas is shaping up to be one of Zee TV’s notable offerings this season.
