Kuldeep Singh to Join Rupali Ganguly in Anupamaa Serial
Kuldeep Singh, widely recognised for his performances in Vighnaharta Ganesh and Laal Banarasi, has officially returned to the television space after taking a break in 2022. During his time away from TV, the actor explored other creative avenues, appeared in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani, and even launched his own production house. Now, he is back with a significant role in the popular series Anupamaa, led by Rupali Ganguly.
In Rajan Shahi’s family drama, Kuldeep steps into the character of Professor Diwakar, marking a fresh phase in his career. Speaking to ETimes about his comeback, Kuldeep shared,
“I’m returning to TV after almost three years with Anupamaa, and it truly feels like the perfect project to make a comeback. The show is doing incredibly well, and I’m portraying a mature, multi-layered professor.”

Opening up more about his track, he revealed that Professor Diwakar teaches at Rahi’s (Adrija Roy) college. Despite being a married man, the professor becomes emotionally attached to Rahi and feels unsettled when she misses class.
According to Kuldeep,
“One day, concerned about her absence, he visits her home under the guise of helping her with studies. Rahi feels anxious about how her family might perceive the situation but quickly handles it by explaining that he’s simply tutoring her. Even though Rahi’s intentions are pure, her family begins questioning why a young professor frequently visits their home and grows wary of his behaviour.”
With his layered portrayal and a storyline filled with emotional complexities, Kuldeep Singh’s return to television is set to add a fresh twist to Anupamaa, leaving viewers curious about how the track will unfold.
