Zee TV’s beloved daily soap Kumkum Bhagya, which first hit television screens in 2014, is now gearing up for its grand finale. After an impressive run spanning over a decade, the channel is preparing to wrap up the iconic show as part of a refreshed programming strategy focused on launching newer and more diverse content.
As part of this shift, Zee TV has already made several scheduling adjustments. Shows such as Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, Vasudha, and Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah have been given new time slots to strengthen the overall lineup. Additionally, the newly released reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon has launched with a wave of positive feedback from viewers.
Looking ahead, Zee TV is also readying the launch of its upcoming drama Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, produced by Dreamiyata Entertainment — the banner led by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta. Featuring talents like Amandeep Sidhu, Sheezan Khan, and Shubhangi Latkar, the new show is anticipated to take over the current time slot of Kumkum Bhagya. – Kumkum Bhagya
According to reliable sources, the ongoing generation of Kumkum Bhagya stars Pranali Rathod, Namik Paul, and Akshay Bindra in lead roles. However, due to consistently declining TRP ratings, the show is reportedly set to go off air in the coming weeks.
Over the years, Kumkum Bhagya has gone through multiple generational leaps. The original leads, Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha, became household names, followed by Krishna Kaul and Mugdha Chaphekar, and later Abrar Qazi with Rachi Sharma. Its spin-off Kundali Bhagya, another successful offering from Balaji Telefilms, also concluded its journey recently.
As Kumkum Bhagya approaches its final episode, it marks the end of an era for Indian television, closing the curtain on one of Zee TV’s most enduring and cherished shows.
