Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has recently been in the spotlight due to his alleged involvement in the assassination of politician Baba Siddique and issuing threats to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. A web series titled Lawrence – A Gangster Story is set to explore Bishnoi’s life and rise in the criminal world, as reported by News18.

Produced by Jani Firefox Film Production, the series has been approved by the Indian Motion Pictures Association and will depict Bishnoi’s evolution into a feared gangster. Despite being incarcerated since 2014, Bishnoi is believed to run a widespread criminal network both within India and internationally. Known for his previous work on true-crime projects like A Tailor Murder Story and Karachi to Noida, Jani promises a compelling portrayal of Bishnoi’s criminal exploits. Specific incidents from Bishnoi’s life to be depicted in the series are yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, security around Salman Khan has been ramped up due to recent death threats linked to the Bishnoi gang. The Mumbai Police received a WhatsApp message warning Khan to end his feud with Bishnoi by paying an extortion amount of ₹5 crore. The message warned of dire consequences if Khan failed to comply, with a chilling reference to Baba Siddique’s murder. Amit Jani, who is based in Noida, has announced the upcoming web series on Bishnoi, which is expected to provide a dramatic retelling of the gangster’s notorious life. The web series will also include a poster launch once the festival season concludes.

Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned at Sabarmati Central Jail, is notorious for issuing threats in the Blackbuck poaching case and has taken responsibility for Siddique’s assassination. Just days after the killing, Bishnoi’s associates allegedly demanded a ₹5 crore payment from Khan, threatening dire consequences if he didn’t resolve his ongoing dispute with the gangster. Khan, who is currently filming for Bigg Boss 18, is under heightened security due to the escalating situation.
