The actress firmly dismissed the rumour mill, calling the narrative entirely fabricated, and stated that even if she were a lesbian, she would proudly acknowledge it because “there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Following her unexpected mid-week eviction, Malti told Zoom in an exclusive chat, “I wasn’t admiring anyone in that sense. I was just interacting with boys and girls normally. And if I were a lesbian, I would openly say it. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being one. But I am straight, and if anyone had asked me on the show, I would’ve said it a thousand times.”
She emphasized that being labeled a lesbian does not offend her. “Calling someone a lesbian is not an insult. I have no problem with acceptance. But this whole narrative started with Farrhana. She says anything and everything without filter. “Tomboy Doesn’t Mean Lesbian”
Malti explained that her tomboyish behaviour was misinterpreted by some viewers. “I may act like a ‘lounda’ sometimes, but that doesn’t mean I’m a lesbian. Being a tomboy is just my attitude. Some girls are polished and know how to play smart; I’ve never been like that. I’m a Jatt girl—straightforward and upfront. That attitude comes from my father. It has nothing to do with my sexuality,” she said.
The actress also clarified that her closeness with Ashnoor Kaur and friendly bond with Tanya Mittal had no romantic angle. “People created angles out of thin air. Farrhana’s fanbase simply picked it up and ran with it,” she added.
Malti ended by saying she remains open-minded about sexuality and believes no one should be shamed for who they are.
