Actor Manan Joshi, known for his charming performance in Mann Atisundar on Dangal TV, has made a strong comeback to television with Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar on Colors TV. Produced by Suzana Ghai’s Panorama Entertainment, the show marks his reunion with a familiar team — but this time, Manan takes on a role that’s far from the conventional hero.
Speaking about his new character Karan, Manan shared, “Karan is a confident, flamboyant man who’s achieved a lot in life. He carries a certain pride — even arrogance — that stems from his success. He’s not your typical ‘good boy’; he’s layered, flawed, and driven by ambition. His intentions might not always look right, but they come from a place of belief in his own truth.” – Manan Joshi Playing an Anti Hero in Mangal Lakshmi
On embracing an anti-hero role, Manan expressed, “I’ve always wanted to experiment with something different, and this was the perfect opportunity. Playing Karan lets me explore a new dimension of storytelling. It’s great to work again with Suzana ma’am and the same team that trusted me with Mann Atisundar. Being back with them feels like coming home.”

Joining an ongoing show was also an exciting challenge for the actor. “It’s thrilling to enter a story that’s already established. Everyone on set knows their characters so well, and I’m catching up fast. Seeing audiences respond positively to Karan already feels very rewarding,” he added.
Talking about his Diwali plans, Manan shared that this year, he will stay in Mumbai due to his shooting schedule. “Usually, I travel during Diwali, but this year I’ll celebrate it here with my family,” he said. Reminiscing about his childhood festivities, he fondly recalled, “Growing up in a small town in Rajasthan, Diwali was magical — the hills lit up with diyas, and the whole town would come alive with warmth and light.” – Manan Joshi Playing an Anti Hero in Mangal Lakshmi
Coming from a health-conscious family, Manan revealed that his family celebrates Diwali with a balance of tradition and mindful eating. “We avoid too many sweets or fried foods. My mom loves experimenting with sugar-free laddoos and kaju katlis — that’s our healthy twist on festive indulgence,” he smiled.
As for his expectations from the show, Manan keeps it simple: “I don’t expect much beyond giving my best. I just want people to enjoy my performance and connect with Karan’s journey.”
With his versatility and fresh take on complex roles, Manan Joshi is all set to captivate audiences once again — this time, as the anti-hero redefining shades of grey on Indian television.
