Speaking to Hindustan Times, Tripathi revealed that he attended the play not as a father but as a fellow actor determined to give genuine feedback. He noted that Aashi took his observations seriously and applied them immediately.
“By the third show, I could already see her growth,” he said, admitting that she picked up nuances much faster than he ever did. “When our teachers taught us these things, it took us a year or two to grasp them. She understood and adapted in just three shows. This new generation is incredibly sharp and quick. On Whether Aashi Will Choose Acting as a Career
Tripathi also clarified that Aashi has not yet committed to acting as her profession, but he intends to support her wholeheartedly regardless of what she chooses. For him, every child deserves the freedom to explore their path without fear.
“I want her to discover her journey on her own,” he said. “I know how tough this industry can be. I can either scare her away from it or allow her to walk this path freely. And this isn’t just for my daughter — all children should have the freedom to decide what they want to do. Even if they fail, it’s completely fine.”

The actor, who was last seen in Anurag Basu’s romantic drama Metro… In Dino, is currently juggling two upcoming projects — a Mirzapur film and Parivarak Manoranjan. Both are reportedly slated for a 2026 release.
