Actor Parth Samthaan, who is all set to make his much-awaited return to television with Colors TV’s upcoming drama Seher Hone Ko Hai, has opened up about his on-set equation with debutante co-star Rishita Kothari. In an interview with India Forums, the actor shared insights into their initial workshops, Rishita’s promising start, and the reason he has intentionally kept a personal distance from her offscreen.
Parth Praises Rishita’s Talent and Freshness as a Newcomer
Talking about his early experience working with Rishita, Parth said he was pleasantly surprised by her natural grasp of the craft, especially as someone facing the camera for the first time.
He shared:
“Workshops ke dauraan hi mujhe samajh aagaya ke ladki intelligent hai. Lines bahut jaldi grasp kar leti hai. First show hone ki wajah se camera face karna aasaan nahi hota — insaan conscious ho jata hai. Lekin uski grasping power achhi hai, thehrav hai, aur Urdu dialogues mein bhi woh jaldi adapt karti hai.”
Parth added that Rishita’s inexperience actually works as an advantage, bringing an authentic freshness to her performance.
“Nayi hone ka ek natural charm hota hai. Usme woh rawness aur originality hai jo audience ko kuch alag dikhati hai. Ye humare liye faydemand hai.”

Why Parth Is Deliberately Keeping Distance Offscreen
While he appreciates her dedication, Parth revealed that he has consciously maintained distance from Rishita when they aren’t shooting — and the reason lies entirely in the character he plays.
He explained:
“Show shuru hone ke baad maine offscreen ek distance rakha hai. Mera character auraton se door rehta hai — uska past ho ya uski personality ho. Woh kisi aurat ko apne kareeb nahi aane deta. Main wohi authenticity maintain karna chahta hoon.”
Parth further clarified that he doesn’t want any pre-built comfort or chemistry to interfere with the raw dynamic required onscreen:
“Main nahi chahta ke chemistry pehle se hi unknowingly build ho jaye. Jab main Rishita, ya Seher ko set par dekhun toh woh pehli baar ka ehsaas ho. Real-time discovery se hi jo chemistry aati hai, woh hi asli mazza deti hai.”
