Actor Raashi Khanna, who recently made a special appearance in 120 Bahadur, is now gearing up for what she describes as a milestone moment in her career—her first film with Pawan Kalyan. The project, titled Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is expected to arrive in theatres in April 2026, and Raashi says the decision to join the film was purely emotional.
“I Signed It Without Reading the Script”
In a conversation with India Today, Raashi revealed that for the first time in her decade-long career, she agreed to do a film even before knowing the story.
“This is the first time I signed a project without reading the script. I’ve always wanted to work with Pawan Kalyan sir, and when this opportunity came, I couldn’t let it go.”

Describing Ustaad Bhagat Singh as a classic commercial outing, Raashi said the film promises all the elements fans look forward to in a Pawan Kalyan entertainer.
“It’s a proper commercial film—songs, glamour, big moments… the genre itself brings the entertainment. You can’t expect too much intense acting here because the format runs on style and presence.”
Balancing Bollywood and the South: A Conscious Choice
Raashi, who has been working consistently across Hindi and South Indian cinema, clarified that she has no plans of limiting herself to one industry.
“I’m never leaving the South. It’s a conscious decision to work in both spaces. I enjoy the scripts, the people, and the creative challenge.”

Release Timeline Still Not Locked
While the team is reportedly aiming for an April 2026 release, Raashi said she is hopeful the film will hit theatres sometime early next year.
“Nothing is confirmed yet, but I’m hoping it releases at the beginning of next year.”
