Actor Rachit Singh, who recently left audiences impressed with his chilling performance as the Betaal Veeran in Thamma from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, is now gearing up for a completely different challenge. The actor will next be seen in Baby Do Die Do, a quirky thriller-drama produced by Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem under their home banner, Saleem Siblings. Huma Qureshi herself plays the lead role in the film, which is directed by Nachiket Samant of Single Salma fame.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rachit opened up about his new role and how it marks a drastic shift from his previous on-screen avatar. “It’s a thriller with drama and emotions — everything packed into one film. I’m really happy to be part of it. My character here is nothing like Veeran. This time, I play a sweet, gentle, and innocent guy. Talking about the contrasting preparations for the two roles, Rachit shared, “For Veeran, I worked on a ripped, six-pack physique to match the intensity of the character. But for Baby Do Die Do, the physicality is softer — he has a normal build, even a bit of a tummy. It was refreshing to let go of that intensity and just play someone real and relatable. The experience was completely new for me, and I’m super excited for audiences to see this side of me.”
When asked about the film’s release timeline, the actor hinted at an early 2026 debut. “As of now, the plan is to release around January or February next year — but let’s see. These things can always change,” he said with a smile. – Rachit Singh on His Role in Huma Qureshi Baby Do Die Do
Discussing his future projects, Rachit revealed that he is taking his time before signing his next. “Right now, I’m meeting a lot of people and reading scripts. There are discussions happening, but nothing is confirmed yet. I’ll share the news as soon as something materializes,” he stated.
Alongside Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh, Baby Do Die Do features an ensemble cast including Chunky Panday, Sikandar Kher, Vidya Malvade, and Seema Pahwa.
