On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone achieved a historic milestone by being appointed as India’s first Mental Health Ambassador. The initiative, launched by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, was officially announced after her meeting with Union Health Minister JP Nadda, where they discussed ways to expand mental health awareness and access to quality care across the nation.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda praised Deepika’s appointment, calling it a vital step toward normalizing mental health conversations and reducing societal stigma.
