Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has filed a plea in the Delhi High Court, requesting strict action against the unauthorised commercial use of his name, photo, likeness and voice.
The petition, scheduled to be heard on December 11 by Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora, argues that several digital platforms — including social media handles and e-commerce websites — are allegedly using the Sikandar actor’s identity without permission. This includes everything from fake merchandise and misleading advertisements to the increasing threat of AI-generated deepfakes.
Salman asserts that such misuse violates his personality rights, which legally protect a public figure’s ability to control how their name, appearance, and voice are used.
