The grand finale of Bigg Boss 19 turned emotional when host Salman Khan paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Dharmendra, who passed away recently. The late icon had appeared on the reality show in an earlier season, and as an old clip featuring him played on screen, Salman struggled to hold back his tears. Salman, visibly moved, said,
“Jab aap log ghar ke andar the, we lost He-Man — the most amazing man. Dharam ji se accha koi nahi tha.”
He remembered Dharmendra as a towering personality who gave six decades to Indian cinema and lived life with unmatched warmth and grandeur.
Reflecting on the veteran actor’s illustrious journey, Salman added,
“Industry join karte hi unka sirf ek hi maksad tha — kaam karna. Unhone har tarah ke roles kiye: drama, comedy, romance. I have always followed Dharam ji. No one else… only him. Masoom chehra, He-Man ki physique, aur ek charming si personality — sab kuch unmein tha aur end tak tha.”
The moment grew even more emotional when Salman revealed how Dharmendra’s passing had personally affected him. “He passed on my father’s birthday, and tomorrow, when my mother celebrates hers, the entire world will remember him on his 90th birth anniversary,” Salman said, his voice breaking.

Commending Dharmendra’s sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol for the dignified way they conducted their father’s final rites, Salman remarked,
“Agar mujhe itna lag raha hai, toh Sunny, Bobby aur unke pariwar ka kya haal hoga. Two of the most dignified funerals I’ve seen were Sooraj Barjatya’s mother’s and Dharam ji’s. Their family maintained such grace, such decorum. Har ceremony, har funeral is tarah hona chahiye — with dignity.”
