With Border 2 set to arrive on Republic Day 2026, the excitement around his next emotional drama, Gabru, is already intense. And now, an unexpected revelation has taken the buzz to another level—superstar Salman Khan will be seen in a lengthy, entertaining cameo in the film.

According to sources close to the project, the makers were searching for a performer who could bring both warmth and star charisma to a particular track in the story. Salman Khan instantly fit the vision.

Interestingly, despite their long-standing friendship, Salman Khan and Sunny Deol have rarely shared screen space. Their only major collaboration was the 1996 hit Jeet. More cameos lined up for early 2026

Salman is also gearing up for another high-impact special appearance next year. He will portray Jiva Mahala, the legendary warrior and loyalist of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in the historical drama Raja Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh.

While Raja Shivaji is slated for a May 1, 2026 release, Gabru will hit theatres earlier on March 13, 2026. Adding to the excitement, Salman will also headline the much-awaited action-war film Battle of Galwan in the first half of next year.
