Rachit Singh, recently seen portraying a Betaal in Aditya Sarpotdar’s Thamma from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, is no stranger to the world of performance. Long before facing the camera himself, Rachit carved a niche as an acting coach, mentoring several rising talents in the industry. Among them is Shanaya Kapoor, who stepped into Bollywood earlier this year with Santosh Singh’s romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, opposite Vikrant Massey.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rachit expressed strong confidence in Shanaya’s future, hinting that her upcoming projects will showcase the depth of her craft. “You will finally witness Shanaya’s actual potential,” he said. “Her first film barely scratched the surface. She has already signed multiple films, each offering her distinct characters. She is extremely hardworking and focused.”
Rachit also drew a parallel between Shanaya’s journey and that of actress Aneet Padda, who earned widespread acclaim earlier this year for her performance in Mohit Suri’s musical romance Saiyaara. “Aneet is incredibly talented, but the success of Saiyaara was also shaped by a solid script and a visionary director,” he explained. “Shanaya is now in a similar phase—working with diverse directors and exploring varied roles. While continuing to mentor young actors, Rachit is also steadily building his own acting career. He is next set to appear in Baby Do Die Do, headlined by Huma Qureshi. The film is jointly produced by Qureshi and Saqib Saleem under their banner, Saleem Siblings.
