Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently filming Laxman Utekar’s highly anticipated biographical drama Eetha, has suffered a toe fracture, forcing the production team to temporarily pause the shoot. The injury occurred during the filming of an elaborate Lavani dance sequence—one of the most crucial portions of the film.
According to sources, Shraddha—who is portraying the legendary Tamasha artiste Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar—had undergone a significant physical transformation for the role, reportedly gaining over 15 kilos. A production insider revealed that the mishap happened when Shraddha “accidentally put too much weight on one foot, causing her to lose balance and injure her toe.” Although director Laxman Utekar immediately stopped the shoot, Shraddha insisted on continuing. Showing commendable dedication, she reworked her schedule upon returning to Mumbai, opting to shoot close-up and emotional scenes on a Madh Island set to avoid delaying the project.
