In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Palash’s mother Amita Muchhal spoke about the close relationship her son shares with Smriti’s father.
According to her, the moment Srinivas ji fell sick, Palash was the first to insist that the celebrations must be stopped immediately.
She shared,
“Palash is deeply attached to Smriti’s father—sometimes even more than Smriti herself. As soon as he heard about Uncle’s condition, he said the rituals cannot go ahead until he fully recovers.”

Emotional Breakdown Sends Palash to the Hospital
Amita further revealed that the sudden turn of events left Palash extremely distressed. Although the family tried to keep him indoors after the haldi ceremony to help him calm down, the emotional pressure became overwhelming.
Recalling the tense hours that followed, she said,
“He broke down repeatedly and his health suddenly worsened. We rushed him to the hospital, where he was kept under observation for nearly four hours. Doctors gave him IV fluids, ran ECGs and other tests. Thankfully, everything came back normal—he is just under intense emotional stress.”

What Led to Srinivas Mandhana’s Health Emergency?
According to the family, Smriti’s father had been cheerful throughout the sangeet night. He danced passionately, mingled with guests, and even shared joyful videos online.
However, things changed drastically the next morning.
Amita explained,
“He danced so much—he was genuinely happy. But while we were discussing the baraat schedule the next day, he began feeling uneasy. At first, he kept quiet, but when the pain increased, we immediately called for an ambulance.”

Smriti and Palash were scheduled to tie the knot on November 23, 2025, in Sangli. But after Srinivas ji’s sudden health complication, both families mutually decided to postpone the wedding until he fully recovers. Palash’s stress-related breakdown only reinforced the decision to pause all festivities.
In the aftermath, Smriti and her close friends quietly removed all wedding-related posts from social media, indicating a complete halt to the celebrations and a focus on family well-being.
